2.) Nai Sarak

The name of this book comes from the fact that the road in question was relatively new and wider than other roads at the time. The British constructed it. Even now, Delhi residents still like to visit this book market, which is possibly one of the oldest.

Everything and anything related to reading and writing is for sale in this market. Here, you can find books in a variety of genres. Additionally, there is a wide selection of stationery on the market. Additionally, you can sell books here and get paid 50% of the original price.

Reaching the market is extremely simple. To get to Chandni Chowk, all we have to do is take the metro. There is a roughly 1-kilometer distance from there to Nai Sarak. From Chandni Chowk to Nai Sarak, we have a choice of taking a rickshaw or walking. From approximately 11:30 am to approximately 6 pm, the market is open. Additionally, with the exception of Sundays, it is open almost every day of the week.

3.) Janpath

In the middle of its flea market, Janpath boasts a little bookshop. It is the regulars at Janpath’s favourite. By providing mouthwatering pricing and discounts, this bookstore ups its allure.

In this modest bookstore, you may buy both new and used books. Here, you have the option of exchanging your old books for new ones or selling your old books. Additionally, a lot of clients are drawn in by the low pricing. If it’s your lucky day, you have the luxury of getting three books for the price of one. Additionally, you receive a 50% refund if a book you purchased from them is returned to them. You should go there if you want to stock your bookcases.

It’s not difficult to go to this market. All we have to do is take the metro to Chandni Chowk and exit at gate number 5. Typically, this market is open from from 11 am to 8 pm. Except on Sundays, the market is open every day of the week.

You can choose to stay at home and listen to audiobooks or audiobook summaries if you avoid crowded areas during Covid.

4.) Shankar Market

One of the oldest local markets in Delhi, Shankar market, has a few bookstores that are a book lover’s paradise. Ram Gopal Sharma and Sons is one of these well-known bookshops. People can purchase books at this bookstore for a reasonable price, and devoted customers even have the option of borrowing books. Due to their stance, they have become a fan favourite, and this location is constantly crowded with book enthusiasts.

Additionally, they take pride in having a sizable variety of thrillers and sell works by well-known authors like Dan Brown, Stephen King, and John Grisham, among many others. The cost of the books is really modest and never exceeds 200 rupees.

Other book stores with a broad selection of books at reasonable prices are “Picadilly” and “Sharma Book Depot.” Additionally, we can sell used books there.

It’s simple to go to this location. All we have to do to get there is ride the subway to Barakhamba. Typically, this store is open from 11 am to 8 pm.

5.) Daryaganj Book Market

The only day of the week that the Daryaganj book market is held is Sunday. A two-kilometer stretch of street is completely covered in books, and book sellers sell their wares there. This market contains books on almost every subject and genre imaginable. Additionally, it has a big selection of rare books and offers the most incredible discounts.

This site may be easily accessed by metro either through Chandni Chowk or Chawri Bazar. The Daryaganj market is then reachable via rickshaw.

If it’s tough for you to venture outside during these trying times, you can also look at free book summaries. Free book summaries might save you time without draining your bank account.
